Over Veen en Steen t/m 28 juni
Dit is een kleine intieme tentoonstelling in het noorden van Friesland met werk, gemaakt
tijdens en na mijn verblijf in het huis van de Polranny Pirates in West-Ierland, 2024.
Naast het ruige landschap werd ik geraakt door de grote impact van de migratie in de streek en
zag veel overeenkomsten met het heden. Migratie blijkt van alle tijden. Door cyanotypes op tere
stoffen, met beelden van steen en het Ierse turf in combinatie met geconserveerde sporen uit de
aarde, wordt de migratie verbeeld.

On Peat and Stone, through June 28,
A small intimate exhibition in northern Friesland featuring work made
during and after my stay at the home of the Polranny Pirates in Western Ireland, 2024.
Besides the rugged landscape, I was struck by the great impact of migration in the region and
saw many similarities to the present. Migration appears to be of all times. Through cyanotypes on delicate
fabrics, with images of stone and the Irish peat combined with preserved traces from the
earth, migration is depicted.
