Het werk is gemaakt in het kader van het project (No) Time to Waste. Een Nederlands-Duitse samenwerking tussen kunstenaars en ambachten, waarbij kunstenaars zich hebben laten inspireren door de verschillende vakgebieden. Voor dit project heb ik samengewerkt met de Archäologische Gruppe Bocholt (D). Ik heb veel geleerd over de archeologie in het algemeen, het herkennen, verzamelen en inventariseren van sporen. Hieruit is de installatie Archeology of the Future voortgekomen. Archeology of the future toont sporen van ons huidige dagelijks leven. Sporen zoals wij die achterlaten en die vindbaar zouden kunnen worden voor toekmstige generaties.

Archeology of the future is made for (No) Time to Waste, a Dutch-German cross border project on arts and crafts, where artists were inspired by craftsmen and old techniques. For this project I worked with great pleasure with the Archäologische Gruppe Bocholt (D), were I learned a lot on archeology in general, recognizing, collecting and the inventory of traces. Archeology of the future shows traces of our current daily life. Traces like we leave behind and might become discoverable for future generations.
